Monica Sandhar - BScN RN is an advanced cosmetic injector/ medically trained skin therapist and specializes in full facial rejuvenation using the most up to date and advanced techniques/therapies in both cosmetic injections and advanced skincare services.
Monica has been passionate about health and beauty for a number of years. Starting as a makeup artist in Edmonton since 2009 at which time she began to purse her nursing career. While obtaining her nursing education she continued to freelance as a makeup and hair artist. Monica is now an established Cosmetic Registered Nurse and Makeup Artist .
Naturally, she found cosmetic nursing the happy marriage of her two passions. Monica was first introduced to medical esthetics in 2014 while working as a Medical Manager at an aesthetic practice in Calgary. Monica has received comprehensive medical aesthetic injection training from Canada’s top injection nurses and doctors. In addition to performing cosmetic aesthetic injections, Monica also has experience in treating Migraines and Hyperhidrosis with Botox ©.
She is able to restore harmony and balance to all areas of the face, neck and hands using a variety of treatment options. She prides herself in catering to patient needs without making the results detectable to anyone but herself & her client. Her work is guided by staying true to the client’s natural aesthetic. Her passion for the field is seen in her work and her deep-rooted desire to continue investing in learning the most innovative techniques in the industry worldwide with the most talented teachers.

Julia Arsenault BScN, RN, MAHSR, NP is a Registered Nurse in Edmonton, AB with over 16 years’ experience. Julia has worked clinically in both hospital and community care settings. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Health Services Research and a post-Master’s certificate in Advanced Practice Nursing. Julia is passionate about geriatric and palliative care and has spent the last 8 years (and counting) as a Nurse Practitioner caring for older adults in their homes.
Involved in rhythmic gymnastics, dance, and music growing up, Julia wanted to tap into her creative and artistic side again. Cosmetic nursing seemed to be a logical way in which to achieve that. As a 2020 graduate of Beauty Lab Academy, Julia prides herself on her ability to carefully listen to her client’s to safely create natural results.
Julia was born and raised in PEI and has been living in Edmonton for the last 14 years. When not in clinic, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and is busy with her two young children.
Robin Maher, RN, BScN is originally from Cole Harbour, NS she is currently working at our Calgary, AB location. She’s been a Registered Nurse for 12 years, having spent most of that time in the areas of Mental Health, and Harm Reduction. These nursing roles have allowed her to foster her passion for social justice, and act as a strong advocate for health equity for underserved populations.
She’s also had a special interest in beauty and aesthetics since she was a teeny tot. This past fall, she made the decision to pursue her longstanding dream of becoming a cosmetic nurse injector, pairing her love of all things beauty with her passion for helping people feel better, whatever that means for them.
Robin prefers to take a conservative approach to injectables - she believes in listening to her clients and taking a collaborative approach in achieving their aesthetic wishes. She believes in going slow, using filler and neurotoxin to create symmetry and balance, and enhance the natural beauty that makes us each unique and interesting.
When she isn’t at Beauty Lab, she’s spending time running along the Elbow River, or with friends and family, including her husband and two aging cats.
Janice Ewan, RN is a Registered Nurse with 13 years experience in surgical, critical and ambulatory care. Her passion for helping people recover and feel better after big surgeries or minor procedures is what drives her. Janice resides in Red Deer, AB.
She became a Cosmetic Nurse Injector after completing Beauty Lab Academy, with Master Injector Monica in March 2021. Being a Nurse Injector allows her to continue her passion for helping people feel better. She loves the confidence boost and increased self esteem cosmetic treatments can give to people, and wants to help her clients feel their absolute best.
Her focus is always on natural results and educating clients about aging and all things medical aesthetics. She is also passionate about education and continuous learning as a professional. She has taken multiple medical aesthetics courses since completing Beauty Lab Academy to ensure the best natural results, with the latest techniques, and the highest safety standards for her clients.
When she is not in the clinic she is working at the hospital, and is a busy Mom of 3 children, and one Golden Retriever.
Rebekah Peters, RN, MN moved to Calgary,AB in 2016 and is a dog mom to a black and chocolate lab and a loving wife to her husband.
Rebekah graduated from the University of Alberta BScN program before working in the ICU. As she continued to develop in her career, she went back to receive her MN at the University of Calgary.
Rebekah went on to fulfill her dream of teaching full time within the BScN program at Red Deer College for 10 years. With a love for learning and teaching, Rebekah has worked in neuromodulator training and was involved in the cofounding of a national Botox course.
After transitioning into medical aesthetics, it became clear to Rebekah that this was a perfect fit for her. With a love for art and science, this blends Rebekah’s skillset together.
As a cosmetic injector, she takes pride in listening to her patients’ aesthetic goals and together achieving attractive, natural and obtainable results.
Rhianna, Beauty Lab's Medical Aesthetician working out of Calgary, AB began her career in medical aesthetics as a patient care coordinator. She then discovered her passion for helping clients achieve beautiful, healthy skin while gaining self-confidence.
With her years of Medical Admin experience and her willingness and drive to learn and explore further in such an enthralling industry, she is only continuing to grow.
Rhianna is a recent graduate of clinical aesthetics from Delmar College. She loves to help educate people on proper skincare routines and help achieve the beautiful complexion they’ve always wanted.
Rhianna's primary goal is for her clients to walk out feeling confident, revitalized and looking their best!
Aaron is a Beauty Lab Injector working part-time out of our Edmonton, Alberta location. Aaron graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BScN). He has honed various skills working as a Registered Nurse in many areas of healthcare and currently he is also working for Alberta Health Services. Aaron loves being a nurse and his passion has always been in Health, as there is never a dull moment.
Aaron is about to embark on a new career path in the world of Aesthetics doing Botox, Dysport, and Dermal Fillers, and we could not be more excited to have him start this journey at Beauty Lab! Taylor Walls, Junior Cosmetic Injector at Beauty Lab grew up in Alberta's windiest city, Lethbridge! She graduated from the University or Calgary in 2020 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and has since been working as a Registered Nurse. Taylor began her nursing career working in Neurology & Stroke at Foothills Hospital. She currently works in Red Deer, AB on a Short Stay Surgical/COVID unit.
Life outside of work is..."Daily walks around the lake with our goofy and loveable golden retriever, Beau, working out and of course relaxing and having a glass of wine or two! I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family and love meeting new people, which is why I am so passionate about nursing.
I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in Advanced Aesthetics, it quickly became a goal when I found BeautyLab Academy-we are a perfect fit. I strive to create natural results that enhance beauty, making my clients feel beautiful from the inside out. Abbey Busch BScN, RN, is a Cosmetic Nurse Injector at Beauty Lab. She has 5 years of nursing experience, specializing in corrections, mental health, and addictions.
Abbey has always been interested in aesthetics and injections, since becoming a nurse. Recently, she decided to follow her passion and take her career in a different direction. She wants to help people feel confident and beautiful in their own ways, and guide them through the natural ageing process.
When Abbey is not working... "I’m doing things with my two dogs or my cat. I am a huge animal lover. I also enjoy going to spin class! I have a love for camping, and spending time with friends and family. Family is a big priority for me and they are my whole world!"

Michelle is a Junior Injector at Beauty Lab Alberta, working at both our Calgary and Edmonton locations. Michelle completed a BSc in Psychology in 2015. Her passion for beauty and aesthetics led her back to the University of Calgary to complete a degree in nursing in 2020. Shortly after graduating as an RN, she officially trained as a cosmetic injector.

Nancy Huynh is a junior injector at Beauty Lab Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Alberta BScN RN program and has since been working as a registered nurse for the past 4 years. Nancy's background is in Cardiac Surgery ICU and she has been dedicated to helping patients at the Mazankowski Heart Institute. She's amazing and a fantastic addition to the Beauty Lab Team!

Kathy is a Registered Nurse with a clinically diverse back ground and over 20 years of experience. Her background ranges from nursing the critically ill in Intensive Care to Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in Public Health. She literally loves it all!
Kathy began her career in Cosmetic Nursing in 2005 and took her first Injector Training course through the Physician Training centre in Vancouver, BC She practiced as a Nurse Injector until 2007 at which time she paused that aspect of her career until now! In October 2021 Kathy decided to re-certify with Beauty Lab Academy. She completed an internship with Beauty Lab and is now a Certified Injector at our Red Deer, AB location.
