Grillin' & Chillin': You can still have that summer BBQ


Makes 1 serving (1 protein)


100 grams extra lean ground beef

1 tablespoon finely minced onion

1 clove garlic, finely minced

Dash of garlic powder

Dash of onion powder

Cayenne pepper to taste

Salt and pepper to taste


Mix ingredients thoroughly and form into patties (2-3). Fry in a small frying pan until desired level of doneness or grill on the barbeque. If using a frying pan, add small amounts of water and deglaze the pan to intensify flavors.

Variations: Add stevia, lemon juice and Bragg’s all-purpose seasoning to create a light teriyaki flavor or top with caramelized onion garnish (see sauces recipes). Also try lean buffalo or bison meat.



Tongs can be used to juice a lemon. Just place the lemon in between and press. Voila!


To remove the smell of garlic from your hands rub them on stainless steel.


To prevent water from boiling over rest a wooden spoon across the pot of boiling water
