Happiness is eating spaghetti: Comfort food at its best


Makes 1 serving (1 protein, 1 vegetable)


100 grams lean ground beef

8 ounces organic tomato sauce (no sugar)

2 cups chopped tomatoes

1 tablespoon minced onion

½ teaspoon dried basil or 4 leaves rolled and sliced fresh

¼ teaspoon oregano

Cayenne pepper to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

Stevia (optional)


Brown the ground beef and pat off excess oil. Add tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, onion, garlic and spices. Simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes. Add water to reach desired consistency. Serve atop cabbage noodles or zucchini.



Tongs can be used to juice a lemon. Just place the lemon in between and press. Voila!


To remove the smell of garlic from your hands rub them on stainless steel.


To prevent water from boiling over rest a wooden spoon across the pot of boiling water
